We raise both Chows and Mini Australian Shepherds!

My love for dogs started out as a junior handler. My mother bred and showed cocker spaniels. I then started into horses and showing them. Everyone in horses had Aussies.

That is how I got "MANDY SUE." She was 5 weeks old when I got her. She went everywhere with us and if you left her you better be prepared to take the consequences. They love to be with you and travel. While showing horses I had gone to the Elmira Charity Horse Show and saw a girl socializing her Chow. I had never seen a more beautiful, elegant dog. The rest is history. They are very special dogs. I will never be without my Chows. The smoothes have become very popular in recent years.

The Aussies have come back into my life once again. The miniatures are very popular, a smaller more compact dog with the same characteristics as the Standard, ranging from 13"to 17" depending on which standard you go by. MASCA will register up to 18". They come in a variety of coat colors - something for everyone. They are good with children and can be worked in obedience or agility and are loyal companions like the Chow.

All dogs at Bearpath are OFA'd or Penn Hip & Cerf'd prior to breeding, our puppies are raised in a family situation, in my home underfoot and socialized. They are handled from day one.
